So cute right? The whole room is adorable, but I really liked the crib! After some searching, I couldn't find where that crib in particular was from, but considering this was a room from a magazine and some designer completed it, I'm assuming it is expensive. BUT....I love the look of the wood and it seemed so simple. Some of these cribs I see look like royalty is sleeping in there. Like this one.
They just seem way too over the top for me personally. So my search began...I looked on Babies R Us and at Target, but nothing really stood out. Well, nothing that wasn't over $300. And while I have been offered to be given a crib as a gift, I just feel that there has to be an affordable crib out there that I like and is safe enough for our child. Then, I'm not really sure how...I went and looked on Walmart.com. Yep, and soon enough I found one I liked.
I really, REALLY like this one...and the price is pretty reasonable too, just $199 or $179 now as a "rollback" price. Then I was wondering if it was all too good to be true. So I looked at various user reviews. And they were all great! Actually, John and Sherry from Young House Love have a crib from the same collection. And since I read their blog daily, I obviously trust their research as well. The main complaint I found about this particular crib was about bumpers not fitting well because of the solid sides...but then, some people say you shouldn't even use bumpers anyways. So we'll see, and I'm sure you can make something work. Also, it has no moving parts and uses non-toxic paint. Those are all good things in my book. We don't have to go out and buy a crib tomorrow or anything, but I have a good feeling about this one for now.
